Make-ing room for doing science!

Scientific thinking starts with a question. Design thinking starts in a very similar way and requires problem solving, empathy and experimentation. We believe that the two mindsets go hand in hand when it comes to building skills in students that will allow them to eventually pursue their own inquiries into the STEM field. This session will explore doing science through design projects and inquiry based learning. This workshop provides participants with the opportunity to try a hands-on, curriculum connected science, and applied design skills and technologies challenge, as well as gain the knowledge and confidence to bring similar activities into their classrooms.
