Did you know that the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has many free, bilingual resources, activities and speaker/astronaut presentations available for your school? Building on feedback from teachers, and the successes and lessons learned from its recent Junior Astronauts campaign, the CSA is currently developing Objective: Moon, a series of engaging and curriculum-linked initiatives using the theme of the Moon to get Canadian youth excited about space and STEM. Dr. Patel will share with you the themes and vision for these activities designed to be implemented in the next few school years as well as give a glimpse at our new Moon content for educators and youth as well as Indigenous Moon stories. She will also discuss how the CSA plans to further support educators and focus on making Objective: Moon accessible to underrepresented youth in STEM, including girls, Indigenous, visible minorities and socio-economically disadvantaged youth, regardless of where they are in Canada.
Elementary (K-5), Middle School (6-8), High School (9-12)
