Artificial Intelligence for educators

What do we mean by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning? What are the potential impacts on education and society, and how do we talk to students about all of this? In this workshop we will explore these topics and share with participants online resources using code to showcase the impact of artificial intelligence when applied to situations involving human decision making.

    Laura Gutierrez-Funderburk is a data scientist for Cybera and Callysto and holds a mathematics degree from Simon Fraser University, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. She’s experienced in creating in-person and online data science lessons for Grades 5-12 students and teachers that spark creativity, celebrate diversity, and foster critical thinking skills.
